Give Kids a Chance Charity Inc. is a registered charity (#80411 8677 RR 0001) that serves children in Saskatchewan who face barriers to participation, such as access to facilities, transportation and lack of nutrition. We leverage community resources and create partnerships to increase accessibility for children and youth to access structured sport, culture and recreation activities in their communities.
The current programs supported include KidSport and the Dream Brokers program.
KidSport is a children’s charity designed to assist youth ages five to 18 of families facing financial obstacles to participation in community sport programs.
Dream Brokers levels the playing field for youth so they can participate in new or existing sport, culture and recreation programs.
“We love to see the kids laugh when they see the transformation in their finished pieces. The first few times they are truly shocked and impressed. By far the most heartwarming thing to see is how many of the kids plan their projects as firsts for people they care about! It is absolutely touching how they want to make things for others that are a gift for them. It is so empowering for the kids to be able to make and give gifts especially since sometimes it may be the only way they can do that.”
