Dream Brokers levels the playing field for youth so they can participate in new or existing sport, culture and recreation programs.
Dream Brokers is a participant-driven program operating in 19 schools in five Saskatchewan communities. By creating awareness of participation opportunities, the Dream Brokers team addresses challenges that kids in core neighbourhoods face that limit their access to extracurricular activities.
As part of the program, youth are paired with a Dream Broker, a one-on-one mentor who helps them enrol in sports, art, music and cultural programs and provides financial assistance for equipment, personal items, fees and even transportation.

The Dream Brokers program provides children, youth and their families in select schools with the support, resources and education necessary to overcome barriers that prevent participation in new or existing sport, culture and recreation programs.

“I like to offer a wide range of programs for students to join. This way students get to try a variety of different activities so that the program has an impact on more students at the school. Certain students that enjoy the program will choose to continue the activity and transition into a program within the community. Dream Brokers will provide support to continue the activity which leads to excelling in the program, developing friendships and gaining valuable skills.”
