Cornelia Laliberte

Laliberte was nominated to the Board in 2020 by the Prairie Central District for Sport, Culture and Recreation. As the Coordinator for First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education for Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools, she is responsible for working with various partners that provide services and supports to Indigenous students.

Laliberte has volunteered for United Way of Saskatoon, serving on various committees including a term as Board Chair. She also served as a board member for the YMCA, and was Board President for the Interprovincial Association on Native Employment. She has a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Waikato in New Zealand, and began a PhD in education at the University of Saskatchewan. Laliberte believes in the value of sport and physical activity, and the impact it can have on children and youth.
