Angella Pinay

Chair 

Prior to being named Chair in 2020, Pinay served as the Vice Chair, Sport in 2019-20. Pinay was nominated to the Board in 2018 by the Saskatchewan Soccer Association after previously serving on the Board from 2011-14. 

Between 2018 and 2020, Pinay sat on the Indigenous Sport Leadership Council, and the Sport, Adaptive Sport, Audit and Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan Committees. She has also served on the board for the Saskatchewan Soccer Association and Saskatchewan Volleyball Association. She competed in volleyball at the North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) in 1993, 1995, 2002 and 2006. Pinay, who has degrees in Physical Education and Education, as well as a Master of Business Administration, has coached club volleyball, basketball, badminton and track in Alberta and Saskatchewan. She also served as a coach for Team Saskatchewan at the 2008 NAIG. Pinay is from the Sakimay First Nation and works as a Superintendent of First Nations and Métis Education.
